Measurements
Can be made to fit any glass!

Yarn: Kidsilk Erle by Dale Garn/House of Yarn (50 grams/1.8oz gives about 325 meters/355 yards). You can also use other mohair yarn with similar yardage. Depending on how large you make your lantern, you should be able to get 2-3 lanterns from 325 meters/355 yards. You work with two strands of yarn held together.

Gauge: 10cm x 10cm (4” x 4”) corresponds to just above 5 petals and 6 rounds of jasmine stitches (about 1.9cm / 0.75” per horizontal petal).

Hook: 3mm. Use a rather thin hook in order to keep the flower centers small. The length of the loops when you work the jasmine stitch matters more for the gauge than the hook size.

Also needed: A glass, scissors, tape measure, stitch marker and a yarn needle. I recommend using battery tea candles – not traditional candles (fire hazard).
