Measurements
Circumference of your work: 20 (22)cm / 7.9” (8.7”)
Height of your work: 10 (12)cm / 4” /(4.7”)
Fits cup with circumference about: 2-3cm / 0.8-1.2” larger than the circumference if your work.
Yarn: Merino Extra fine by Drops Design 105m (115yds) /50gr (1,8oz). You can also use other 8 ply / DK yarn. You need about 20-25 grams (0.8oz). You can make 2 cozies form one skein if you follow the pattern and gauge.
Gauge: 10 x 10cm (4” x 4”) corresponds to about 6 petals and just above 6 rounds of jasmine stitches (about 1.7cm (0.7”) per horizontal petal). This is the gauge BEFORE you use the cup cozy. The work will stretch a bit in use, and you will have fewer petals per 10cm / 4” after use.
Hook: 3mm. Use a hook thinner than the one recommended for the yarn you use. This is to make sure the flower centers remain small. The length of the loops when you work the jasmine stitch matters more for the gauge than the hook size.
Also needed: Scissors, Tape Measure, Stitch Marker and a Yarn Needle.
