Measurements: Length: Maximum 22cm (8.7 ”) measured without the clip but including the silicon ring/crochet hoop for pacifier. Width: 2,5cm (0.6 ”).

Gauge: 10cm (4” x 4”) corresponds to 9 Jasmine Stitch Petals measured horizontally. The length you pull the loops to when crocheting decides the gauge and the length of the strap.

Yarn suggestions: Baby Merino from Drops Design (175meter(191yrds/50grams(1.8oz)) or other Sport/5 ply yarn. Drops Baby Merino is super wash treated merino wool. You need one skein – or some leftovers from your stash.

Hook: 2,5 mm, or the size that gives the correct gauge. The length of the loops when you work the jasmine stitch matters more for the gauge, than the needle size.

You also need: Scissors, Yarn Needle and a Suspender Clip. You can use an O-ring (silicon ring, diameter about 2.5cm (0.6”)) to fasten the pacifier, or you can crochet at hoop for this purpose.

Safety: To be sure the child cannot get the pacifier around his/her neck, (avoid strangulation), be sure to make the clip NO LONGER than 8.7” including the O-ring/pacifier hoop. If your gauge swatch shows that your pacifier strap will be too long if you use the number of stitches suggested in the pattern (15), crochet the strap with fewer stitches.
