This pattern is for the classic teardrop shaped hanging basket, but with a twist - made with the beautiful jasmine stitch. This simple stitch works up to a thick, stiff, reversible fabric - perfect for housewares such as basket, bowls, and placemats. Any worsted weight yarn can be used; I love 100% cotton, but the addition of linen adds texture and a bit of stiffness (as long as you don’t wash it!). Pure wool with a slightly slubby texture tends to hold it shape well with these patterns (ex. Happy Sheep by Hobbii or Noro Ito). The pattern contains instructions for a little bowl as well at the end. The basket is fully supported by videos on my Youtube channel:
