Jawa Crochet Doll
UTINI! Say, what are you trying to pull? This fuzzy little scavenger will haggle his way into the hearts of big and small Star Wars fans. You can make this 4 inch (10 cm) yarn doll yourself, or sweet-talk your favorite auntie into making it for you.
How he came to be: I wanted to make a cute, super-simple Jawa with a Japanese-inspired kawaii look: big head, small body (think Hello Kitty and Power Puff Girls). The crocheted bandoleer drapes across his body, with lots of little “pockets” for holding his ammo or ill-gotten gains.
Pattern is for beginner-to-intermediate crochet skills. You will need to know how to read a crochet pattern and do chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, magic loop, and single crochet decrease. You will need C/2.75 mm, E/3.5 mm, and F/3.75 mm crochet hooks. Doll parts are made by spiral rounds. Definitions of stitch abbreviations are included. Photo illustrations included.
