Jazz Hands
These graphic mittens are worked at a tight gauge to create a cosy, windproof fabric. They feature an inset thumb and a neat i-cord finish to the cuff. They use the same graphic colourwork pattern as my Epistrophy cardigan and Epistropheid hat designs.

Kate Davies Designs Buachaille (100% Scottish Wool. 110m / 120 yards per 50g skein)
MC: Squall (grey)
CC: Ptarmigan (white)
Approximately 100m / 110yds of each shade is required for the small size, and 108m / 118yds of each shade for the large size.
Small size
To fit hand circumference around widest point of knuckles: 18-20cm / 7-8in
Length: 23cm / 9in
Gauge for small size:
30 sts and 32 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork pattern in the round. This was achieved using 2.75mm needles.
Large size
To fit hand circumference around widest point of knuckles: 20-23cm / 8-9in
Length: 25.5cm / 10in
Gauge for large size:
26 sts and 28 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork pattern in the round. This was achieved using 3.25mm needles.
