This Jazzy Cast is made out of stashed yarn, just following two rules: luxurious natural fibers and fingering weight. Because I used merino, silk, alpaca and mohair blends, it turned out to be a glorious mix of fine quality.

The slip stitch technique, also known as mosaic, knitted loosely enough, makes the cast elastic both to the length and the width, exactly to meet the requirements for an autumn cast, good to throw over a coat or to use indoors.

The cast is worked flat. The edges on both long sides are crocheted with main color in single crochet stitch. The short sides are decorated with fringes. Once you have decided the width of the cast, it’s only the amount of the yarn that determines its length.
