This unique crop poncho uses a slightly modified version of a popular textured stitch for a handmade look that compliments jeans or other casual outfits. This poncho is light enough to wear during spring and summer months. Beads are optional but recommended using the Bead-As-You-Go method described in the instructions.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Finished Size: Approximately 32 x 14

Yarn: Lion Brand Jeans yarn in colorways Stovepipe, Vintage and Top Stitch or Stonewash, Classic and Brand New (optional as shown in the pattern). Yarn quantities are: Stovepipe (2), Vintage (1) and Top Stitch (1) or Stonewash (2), Classic (1) and Brand New (1). You will use both skeins of Stovepipe or Stonewash so stick close to the gauge or I recommend purchasing a third skein just in case you need to change the hook or gauge.

Other materials: Tapestry needle. If you decide to use beads, you will need a 1.2mm to 1.5mm hook to add beads as you go. The beads shown are John Bead Euro Wood Beads 8 x 6mm Round Large-Hole beads in black for the Stovepipe poncho and in blue for the Stonewash poncho. I recommend using 6mm beads with a hole size of either 1.2mm to 1.5mm to accommodate the yarn thickness.
