The Jeju Sweater is named after my hometown. Jeju is a beautiful island in Korea.

This is a basic top-down drop shoulder, loose-fit round neck sweater. The line extending from the shoulder to the sleeve has been designed to drop neatly.. It’s extended without short rows to give a shoulder slope, making it suitable for beginners. Additionally, by creating a length difference between the upper back and front panels, a natural back neck opening is formed for comfortable wear. The bottom of the body is finished with an overlapping split rib stitches for added mobility. The sleeves are designed to be slightly slimmer than the body to make the sweater not to look bulky. Although short rows are used to create sleeve caps, beginners who find short rows challenging can omit them.

how to knit Jeju sweater
Knit the upper back panel. Pick up stitches from the upper back panel and knit the upper left front panel. Pick up stitches from the upper back panel and knit the upper right front panel. Join the upper right and left front panels to knit a single upper front panel. Join the upper front and back panels to knit a cylindrical body. Pick up stitches from the armhole. Knit sleeve cap. (Optional) Decrease while knitting sleeves. Pick up stitches along neckline and knit neckband.

기본적인 탑다운 드롭숄더, 라운드넥의 루즈핏 스웨터입니다. 어깨 부터 소매까지 이어지는 라인이 딱 떨어질 수 있도록 하였습니다. 숏로우 없이 늘림으로 어깨 경사를 주어 초보자분들이 뜨시기 좋습니다. 또한 뒷판과 앞판의 단수 차이를 주어 뒷목파임이 자연스럽게 생겨 편안하게 착용할 수 있습니다. 몸통 마무리의 고무단은 겹침 트임 고무단으로 마무리 하여 활동성을 주었습니다. 소매는 루즈하지 않도록 하여 전체적으로 부해보이지 않도록 하였습니다. 소매는 숏로우를 하여 소매 캡을 만들어 뜨지만 숏로우가 어려운 초보자 분들은 생략하여도 괜찮습니다.

뜨는 방법
위쪽 뒷판을 뜹니다. 위쪽 뒷판에서 코를 주워 위쪽 왼쪽 앞판을 뜹니다. 위쪽 뒷판에서 코를 주워 위쪽 오른쪽 앞판을 뜹니다. 위쪽 오른쪽 앞판과 위쪽 왼쪽 앞판을 합쳐서 위쪽 앞판을 뜹니다. 위쪽 앞판과 위쪽 뒷판을 연결하여 원통으로 몸통을 뜹니다. 암홀에서 코를 줍습니다. 소매캡을 뜹니다. (선택사항) 줄임을 하며 소매를 뜹니다. 넥라인을 따라 코를 줍고 넥 고무단을 뜹니다.
