Jellycorn Floating Unicorn Jellyfish
This pattern is designed to be adapted to any sized foam rubber or styrofoam floating ball with all instructions included. Handle and Tentacles are crocheted in the round as you go, designed for throwing and rough play! Mane is crocheted onto the surface, horn, and eyes are your only sewing! (Balls available at Dollar Tree and discount stores)
Jellycorn is looking for a fun, playful owner who enjoys bubble baths, swimming pools, and the beach. She is just MADE to FLOAT (literally)! Jellycorn is a great whimsical toy for beach goers: play catch with something WAY cuter than a basic ball or frisbee! She also makes a great bath toy or just a fun toy to swing around by her crocheted-in handle!
Materials Needed:
Yarn: Worsted weight in bright colors: Paints, Ombre, Stripes About 150 yards. Small amount of contrast color for horn and mane. Scraps of cotton thread or other yarn for eyes.
Ball: Foam rubber ball (found at dollar tree, discount stores, mine are
4-5” wide but size is not important); Styrofoam ball would also work. Test to make sure it floats.
Serrated knife or similar
Hook: 3.5mm
Size: Varies depending on ball chosen
