The Jellyfish Sweater is a nice and cosy piece of clothes.

The motif is crocheted in interlocking crochet. This is a technique where two separate pieces, each in a different color, are crocheted together, as they are woven into one another With a good contrast between the two colors, the motive stand out clearly.

Granny stripes are crocheted around the motif and on the sleeves. Granny stripes is a technique where double crochets (US terminology) are crocheted in groups of 3. On the next row, you crochet the double crochet groups in the wholes between the groups on the previous row.

The pattern is for right hand.

DIMENSIONS

The sweater is made in size medium and has the following dimensions:

• Shoulder: 13 cm
• Neckline: 27 cm
• Armhole: 25 cm
• Sleeve length: 45 cm
• Sides (under armhole): 29 cm

YARN

The sweater is made in a GOTS certified yarn, 55% wool and 45% cotton.
Category 2: Fine:

• 225 m pr. 50g. (meterage)
• 25 st /35 rows (gauge)

You can use yarn scraps, but be aware that all yarn is of the same quality and thickness, so it behaves the same when you crochet and later wash the sweater.

The motif itself is crocheted in two colours. For each of the two motifs you need:

• The relief color (RC): approx. 50g.
• The background color (BC): approx. 50g.

A total of approx. 550g of yarn in different colours was used for the sweater.

HOOK

The interlocking crochet part: hook size 2.5.
The granny stripes: hook size 2.0.

GAUGE
Interlocking crochet:
12x12 windows = H:10 cm x W:9,5 cm

Granny stripes:
16 rows x 8 dc-groups of 3 dc = 10x10 cm

SKILL LEVEL

The interlocking crochet technique requires you to be an experienced crocheter. Granny stripes, on the other hand, are a simple technique.

The patterns includes a step by step guide with a lot of pictures.

Along with the pattern comes a separate technique guide for the interlocking crochet technique. If interlocking crochet is new to you, I recommend that you start with this guide that is full of pictures and links/QR codes to YouTube tutorials. When you are familiar with the technique it is easy to follow the pattern.
