This simple chunky cowl works up fast and uses a cable needle to create a smocked look. The color options for Malabrigo Mecha are all gorgeous, but I especially love the saturated blue of London Sky.

The finished piece measures (laying flat) - 12 inches from top to bottom and 25.5 inches around.

If you choose to use a different bulky yarn, it may work up to a slightly different shape, but with a cowl like this, it won’t make much off a difference, the gauge is not as important.

The Jenny Cowl Pattern:

-simple stitches
-clear instructions with lots of photos
-one size
-worked in the round on 24 inch circular needles 5.0mm and 5.5mm sizes needed
-bulky yarn - about 325 yds / 298 meters needed (250 grams in total weight)
-cable stitch holder and yarn needle needed
