Jenny's Shawl
A soft and practical everyday shawl, designed to look like the shawls worn by Jenny Murray, Mary MacNab and Janet Murray around the farm on Season 3 of the TV series, Outlander.
This shawl is a long, curved, rustic, garter-stitch shawl with (wrap & turn) short rows that make a soft ruffle along the lower edge. This shawl is knit side to side.
Skill level: advanced beginner
SUPPLIES:
• 3 skeins of any DK or Light Worsted wool (or wool blend) yarn. I recommend Madelintosh DKTwist, Madelinetosh ToshDK, approximately 700 - 750 yards of any DK .
• 1 US size 8 or 9 circular needle (I recommend using 32” circular cable)
• Stitch Marker
• 1 Large eye tapestry needle
• Row Counter or paper and pen to keep track of rows
Sizing: This shawl is one size.
