El Jersey Sashiko hace una recreación de este tipo de bordado a mano tradicional japonés.

El jersey se teje de arriba hacia abajo en circular. El canesú tiene dos partes de punto de arroz dando textura al jersey y haciendo referencia al punto de arroz utilizado por los campesinos en sus ropas de trabajo para atraer la buena cosecha. La secciones de dibujo se trabajan con la técnica de colorwork. En este patrón se usan vueltas cortas alemanas, pero puedes elegir el método de vueltas cortas que prefieras.

Una vez tejido y bloqueado el jersey ajustándose a las medidas indicadas se empieza a bordar la parte trabajada a colorwork y es cuando comienza la magia, verás como el proyecto cambia por completo.

“Con el paso del tiempo puedes quitar el hilo elegido en el bordado y volver a bordarlo con otro color, conseguirás tener otro jersey diferente”

The Sashiko Sweater contains a recreation of the Japanese embroidery technique that it’s named after.

The sweater is knitted from the top down in circular knitting. It has rice stitch sections that add texture and patterned sections that are worked using the colorwork technique. This pattern uses short German rounds, but you can choose your preferred method of short rounds.

Once the sweater has been finished and blocked to the given measurements, you will start embroidering the colourwork section and that’s where the magic begins, you will see how your project changes completely.

“Later on, you can remove the selected thread in the embroidery and embroider it again with a different color, you will have a different sweater”
