Jessica is a fun, ruffled skirt which would be great for a special occasion or a costume. My inspiration was for this to be a Steampunk costume skirt, but it makes me think of something that would be worn by Jessica Day, thus the name. It would be equally great as a princess or fairy costume skirt, if you’re not an everyday ruffle wearer.

Knit in the round, from the bottom up, this skirt is a quick knit and only requires basic skills. The ruffles are knitted into the skirt, and not added afterwards, making it extra fun to watch it develop. It is shaped as an a-line and will require elastic for the waistband. Although I have only included adult sizes, the pattern would be very simple to modify for additional adult or child sizes.
