Jessica Slippers
Jessica Slippers are a part of the Geek-A-Long pattern series. The Geek-A-Long was created to raise awareness for Child’s Play Charity. $1 from each sale of this pattern will be donated to Child’s Play. So put on your sassy pants, relax, and congratulate yourself on making the world a little brighter.
Inspired by incomparable, butt-kicking, and above all no-cares-given attitude of Jessica Jones, these slippers will keep your toes toasty no matter what you’re up to. The truth is, being a vigilante-superhero is rarely glamorous. There’s more long nights of research and stake-outs than, rescuing hot guys or having dramatic fights with the bad guys. These are the slippers that you’ll want when you’re up all night tailing a lead. They are perfect for keeping your toes warm as you spend hours stalking your client’s wandering husband on social media. The Jessica slippers won’t judge you if you sleep until noon. The Jessica slippers know you need a break. While these make a great gift, I think you should keep them for yourself, because really, don’t you deserve them?
This one-skein-wonder project is perfect way to celebrate you. They knit up super quickly, and the optional suede bottoms add luxury and sophistication. These easy slippers are a great introduction to sock knitting for beginners, or a quick, relaxing project for more advanced knitters.
The Jessica slippers are perfection in Lattes & Llamas Fandom Yarn. The 100% Superwash Merino hanks have enough yardage to make both slippers on just one skein and come in an exciting rainbow of color options. I really like this pattern with the monochrome speckles, but you will get great results with any of the Fandom colors. I added suede bottoms to mine to make them super extra. You can get the ones I used at yarn.com. They are optional, but for $12.50 they really dress up a project.
