Here’s a great knitted version of the popular “messy bun hat”.. This hat knits up very quick with a big thick yarn. Perfect gift for the girl (or guy) who still wants to flaunt their messy bun or ponytail without compromising hat style!

I used Madelinetosh ASAP yarn for this pattern.. a very dense, beautiful yarn. The gauge on this yarn is 8-10 stitches to 4 inches/10cm. I only needed one skein and was done with it in just over an hour.

Materials needed: chunky, super bulky yarn, size 10 circular needle, size 13 circular needle, size 10 DPNs, cable needle, tapestry needle.

I wanted this hat to fit snug. Please adjust +/- 8 stitches to get desired fit.
