The Jet Setter Shrug is designed to be a fun, easy knit that’s easy to carry along on the go. The garment produced is simple, elegant and versatile. It can easily be worn with your everyday jeans and a tank or it can be worn with a nice evening gown.

The combination of stitch pattern, needle size and yarn produce a very stretchy garment with negative ease. The shrug is worked flat from sleeve to sleeve. Stitches are picked up around the edges of the body after the sleeves are sewn together.

The lace pattern is a simple six stitch pattern worked over four rows. Stitches used are: knit; purl; knit two together; knit two together through the back loops; yarn over.

The yarn called for in the pattern is the yarn recommended for this shrug. If a different yarn is used, I recommend a wool/synthetic blend similar to the yarn called for in the pattern. During testing, 100% acrylic was used and did not produce the desired results. Given the stretchy nature of the stitch pattern, 100% natural fibers may produce a garment that is too stretchy or does not hold the size and shape after blocking.
