The Jewel Orchid mandala was born from a sudden urge to create a design with stitches of varying heights across different rounds - And the result unexpectedly took a floral turn!

The pattern was first published as part of our DIY Magazine Variegated! for issue #8 Inlaid Oppulence.

The pattern uses 7 colors:- 3 shades of cornflower blue / cyan and powder blue along wirh 3 shades of purple/lilac and rose pink . The use of black as highlighter really brought out the floral shape !

However our testers Jayashreemadan and aarabydina have used fewer colors and have made theirs look fabulous!

Blocking is essential to bring the mandala to life!
