Jewel Sparkles type doll
My LalaLoopsy patterns are inspired by The “LalaLoopsy Sew Magical! Sew Cute!” plastic dolls. The finished doll should stand approximately 13.5-14.5 inches tall and sit approximately 8 inches tall. This is a beautiful and unique doll with removable outfit (shoes not removable) and the pattern is straightforward and easy to follow.
Jewel Sparkles was made from remnants of a real princess’ dress. She is very graceful, a little bit bossy, and loves to dance and wear sparkly clothes. She has a Persian cat. She’d be the perfect gift for you to crochet for any LalaLoopsy fan in your life!
MATERIALS
note I (usually) use Red Heart Super Saver yarn but, as gauge is not important in this pattern, any brand of yarn will do as long as its all the same weight.
1 skein of light pink yarn for hair, shoes and dress, 1 skein flesh color yarn for face and body, 1 skein of magenta yarn for dress and tiara, 1 skein white yarn for socks and dress edging, 1 skein of pale yellow for dress ruffle.
Doll: Size 3.5 mm (U.S. E or 4) crochet hook. Stuffing. 2 large black buttons for eyes I used 23 mm. Small amount of black yarn or thick black thread for mouth. Small amount of black ribbon for eyelashes. Some yellow ribbon to tie around waist and tie 4 bows to skirt. 2 small peices of pink felt for cheeks, small amount of magenta yarn for bows on shoes (I also used it as backing on the tiara to keep it from flopping over, and a small amount of white felt for front of dress. I sewed 2 small black buttons to this before gluing it down.
Dress and Panties: Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook
