Pattern for an Jeweled Flower Mantis Tapestry/Throw. This pattern comes with both a graph and written directions.

This pattern is 150 stitches wide by 116 rows tall.

You will need 3 skeins of white, 1 skein of black and 1 skein of gray to complete this project.

You will need 4 skeins of white (or background color), 2 skeins of green, 2 skeins of yellow, 1 skein of black and 1 skein of red/pink. I recommend carrying the white, green & yellow through the entire pattern. I would only carry the black and red/pink where you need it. Or you can carry 4 colors (white, green, yellow and black) through the entire pattern and only add the pink when needed. Both will come out nicely so do whichever you prefer.

I recommend a medium weight (worsted weight) yarn with a J sized hook. The tapestry should come out a little over 4 feet wide. This pattern can be repeated and sewn together or combined with other patterns (most of my other patterns are also 150 stitches wide) to create a blanket. A border can also increase the size and give the project a more finished look.

It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn (there are great youtube videos that can teach you how to do the Tapestry Crochet Technique. I highly recommend trying a small simple pattern to practice carrying yarn before attempting a larger project. Carrying yarn gets more difficult as you add more colors.

Once you have purchased this pattern a text document that like this (below) will automatically download to you. If you have any trouble receiving it message me and I will have it e-mailed to you in no time. This pattern also comes with a Graph!

1.) A-150
2.) A-30, B-20, A-10, B-50
3….

The #’s are for each row
The letters are for different colors. (A = White, B = Black, C = Green, D = Yellow, E = Red/pink)
(so the above pattern would have the first row be 150 stitches of color A. 2nd row would have 30 stitches of color A followed by 20 stitches of color B followed by 10 stitches of color A and so on….)

I make custom patterns as well. If you are interested in a pattern that does not exist message me and we can talk about having one custom designed for you.
