ABOUT PATTERN
The Jimmy scarf is a very easy-to-make pattern using leftover yarn. Start your work with a classic cast-on, then knit the ruffled
border, continue with stockinette back and forth, and finish by working the second ruffled border.
MEASUREMENTS
Lenght: 162 cm
Width before the edges roll inward: approx. 9 cm
Width aftet the edges roll inward: approx. 3 cm
YARNS AND MATERIALS
Approx. 55 g of leftover yarns. The following yarns were used in the pattern: Cashemire Premium from Lang Yarn - Baby Alpaca
from BC Garn - Organic Brushed Alpaca from Kaos Yarn (double stranding).
NOTE: In this pattern, different yarn thicknesses are used. To achieve approximately the same thickness, I occasionally knitted with
two strands held together and at other times with a single strand.
Circular needles 3.5 mm 60 cm
Double pointed needles 3.5 mm optional
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
27 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch on needle size 3.5 mm.
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on
10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
