Jim's Freedom Scarf
Red, White, and Blue, and reversible. A perfect scarf for the patriotic knitters. Of course, it looks great in any three contrasting colors. Both front and back sides feature intricate ‘looking’ stitches, which just happen by magic.
3-color stockinette Brioche with strong, I-Cord edging. Unlike regular Brioche, there is no need to continually slide stitches. Works up fast. Incredible drape.
All edges of this scarf have a strong, I-Cord edging. It starts with an I-Cord cast-on, then the I-Cord edges are worked, in place. The whole thing tops off with an I-Cord bind-off.
This pattern can easily be made into a large baby blanket. The strong edging makes ideal because it’s very durable. A smaller scarf (9inx50in) can be made with just one skein of each color. An 80in long scarf uses about 1.5 skeins of each.
