Jingle
I envisioned the garment with an abundant collar surrounding the shoulders like a piece of fur in coat dresses from the 1930s. Women looked so elegant and dressed up.
The garment’s construction consists of two pieces combined: the body is rectangular, with partial side seams to create sleeves, and the collar is a large heart-shaped crescent form framing the front body part. 
I have played with different needle sizes to explore and create collars of various sizes. You can see that by observing all three sample pictures here on Ravelry, on my web page, www.Daliaknits.com or on Instagram.
I’ve explored spun and unspun yarn: Sample 2 (Nutiden, unspun, purple) and Sample 3 (Zealana, spun, peachy pink). I couldn’t resist exploring even more, so I dived into my stash and used left skeins from other projects to create a marl effect like Sample 1—green marl.
The possibilities are endless. Be aware that your yarn choice will affect the final look. A cape made from unspun yarn will grow a bit in size, while spun yarn will keep it crisp and less drapey. A mohair and lace combination will create a more sleek look.
The Jingle has an effortlessly elegant design and sits beautifully on the shoulders.

Yarn for Sample 1 (green)
For Body - Dyestock Yarns Lace 100 gr., 800 m., together with
Rowan kid silk haze mohair 96 gr., 800 m.
For Collar - Mayu Lace by Amano 75 gr., 600 m. together with Rowan kid silk haze mohair 72 gr., 600 m.

Yarn for Sample 2 (purple)
Höner och Eir Nutiden 426 gr. 2001 m.

Yarn for Sample 3 (pink)
Zealana Rimu Fingering 396 gr. 1515 m.

Gauge
BODY: After blocking, 26 sts and 38 rows = 10x10 cm (4x4 “) in stockinette stitch pattern with 3.25 mm (US 3) needle(s). 
COLLAR: more drappy - use 3mm (US 2.5) needles (as for Samples 2 & 3)
or less drappy 2.75 mm (US 2) needles (as for Sample 1).

Needles
Needle A (for body). Suggested Size: 3.25 mm (US 3), or the needle size required to meet the gauge.
Needle B (for collar). Suggested Size: 3mm (US 2.5), or 2.75 mm (US 2).
Needle C (for the armhole hem). Suggested Size: 2.75 mm (US 2).
