Jingle the Reindeer Amigurumi
This pattern teaches you how to make Jingle the Reindeer.
This pattern is quite straight forward and is suitable for beginners who have basic crochet knowledge and sewing skills and like a more challenging project. For the experienced amigurumists, do note that some parts of the pattern requires crocheting in oval instead of the usual circular style. It comes with 11 pages of detailed instructions and 26 photos to help you follow along. The stitches and techniques that you will need to know for this pattern are:
- Crocheting in continuous round,
- forming a magic ring,
- sc - single crochet
- sc inc - single crochet increase
- sc dec - single crochet decrease
- ch - chain stitch
- ss - slip stitch
Using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a reindeer of about 11.5cm/4.5in tall. It will be bigger if you use a thicker yarn and smaller if you use a thinner yarn.
The materials you will need for this project will be (based on fingering yarn):
Tan yarn
Cream yarn
Yellow yarn
Red yarn
Dark brown yarn
Black embroidery thread
Stuffing
Crochet Hook 2.5mm
Felting needle + pink felting wool OR pink felt and glue
Yarn needle
