Joan Crawford Silent Movie Gypsy Head Scarf
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Inspired by The Unknown, a silent film cult classic, this crocheted head covering can be worn side-tied like a pirate or doo-rag style with the knot at the nape of the neck. Open-work stitches make this a breezy hat that can be worn during the warmer weather, at the beach or used as a chemo cap.No sewing!
I used an I/5.5mm hook for the beginning chain then switched to an H/5.0mm hook for the stitches.
Note: Just to clarify, at the end of row 1 you will have the
(1): beginning turning ch,
(2):49 V-sts,
(3); and a dc in the last ch.
