Joanna Spa Headband
This headband was an idea that I had kicked around in my head for a while but wasn’t sure what form the construction should take. I pictured using it to hold my hair back while indulging in a mud mask or other facial treatment and I also have worn it many days while out running around. I have really fine hair and it doesn’t slip or slide around! The extended single crochet gives it that pretty look, with the sustainable hemp yarn throwing in a bit of rustic vibe.
Size: Teen/Adult (adjustable)
Fits head sizes 19” - 22” as written with instructions for modifying for smaller and larger sizes
Finished Measurements:
Body: 16” long x 2 1/2” wide, excluding strap (before being worn/stretched)
Strap: approx 5” long
Supplies:
I (5.5mm) hook or hook to meet gauge
25-32 yards of Lion Brand Just Hemp yarn, bulky (5) weight or 67 yards (2 strands held together) of a DK (3) weight cotton or cotton blend such as CotLin
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Measuring tape
Button - 3/4” to 1” size
Sewing needle & thread
A note about yarn: I recommend Just Hemp because it has a rough property that keeps my headband in place. I have really fine hair and it is basically the only thing that stays in place!
