Jockey Hat instructions are for One Size (to fit 21 1/2” head size)
Pattern calls for either J & P Coats Knit-Cro Sheen (2 balls for hat, 1 ball for bag) OR J & P O.N.T. Cronita (3 balls for hat, 2 balls for bag). Both of these are #10 crochet cotton mercerized threads. Cronita originally came in 200-yd balls; Knit-Cro Sheen 175-yd balls.
MATERIALS:
#10 mercerized cotton crochet thread - see above for estimating yardage requirements
Steel crochet hook #4 (2 mm)
3/4 yd millinery wire (for hat)
1 pair 7-inch wooden handles (for bag)
Lining material (optional, for bag)
