Jody's Mathematical Cowl
I have a beautiful, brilliant friend by the name of Jody. A superb writer and stay-at-home-mom, she returned to college recently to study Chemical Engineering (yes, she really is that smart). She fell in love with this yarn when visiting, so I turned it into something to keep her warm on her winter commute.
She immediately wrapped it around her neck, and commented, “It looks highly mathematical.” With a glance, she’d spotted the logical (well, it was logical to me, anyway) pattern of the rows…and that’s why this is Jody’s Mathematical Cowl.
It has great textural interest and can be worn long or doubled for more warmth. Worked in the round with easy crochet stitches, you need just one skein of yarn to make this beautiful cold-weather accessory. It’s also a fast crochet, so it makes a wonderful last-minute gift for someone you admire.
