This is a pattern for a cable scarf which I created for my dad, Joe. This pattern is worked flat using only combinations of knit stitches, purl stitches, and repeats of cables. The main cable is a little more complex than some of my other cable designs, but I have included detailed instructions as well as a knitting chart, so I have no doubt you would be able to master the cables with ease. The garter stitch borders and the 2x2 ribbing at each end help to prevent the edges from curling, at the same time bringing eyes to the main cable in the center.

The scarf is casual enough for daily wear while radiating a sophisticated look, making it perfect for professional settings too. It is exceptionally squishy and warm, and would be the perfect gift for yourself, as well as the perfect gift for your loved ones as it shows your love and skill!

Skill Level: Easy

Size: The finished product should measure around 0.8 foot wide, 6 to 7 feet long.

Recommended Yarn: I used Meripaca by We Are Knitters, but I also recommend Jeans by Lion Brand, or Wool Ease by Lion Brand, or any Worsted Weight yarn.

The pattern is written in standard US terms.
