Joey Sweater
Pattern Notes
• Bottom-up construction
• Raglan-style seamless sleeves
• Each hem is worked separately, then joined to work in the round.
• Top of the sweater is worked in pieces to create the splits for the neckline and zipper.
This spunky design grew from Ryan Cardigan and reminds me of my cheeky sister, Joey, who modeled it. Ryan is one of my first sweater designs and a closet essential. Joey Sweater is the sassy girl version of a classic. It features a deep v-neck (show some skin or layer it) with a hi-lo side split hem, an exposed zipper, and waist shaping to accentuate curves. The ribbed fabric provides a forgiving fit.
