Meet Joey the Firefighter Koala - a brave baby koala who fights fires to save the homes of his friends.
Getting an exact gauge is not important for this project.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
- This item is a PDF that you download through Ravelry
- The finished koala ends up approximately 12cm tall when sitting down (including hat) using similar yarn and hook size. Thinner yarn and a smaller hook size will produce a smaller toy and vice versa
- Gauge is not important - just make sure the stitches are tight enough so that the stuffing doesn’t show through
- The pattern is available in both UK terminology and US terminology (separate files)
- The pattern includes step-by-step instructions for sewing
SKILLS
- Suitable for advanced beginners
- Magic circle, double crochet (US - single crochet), half treble crochet (US - half double crochet), treble crochet (US - double crochet), increase, invisible decrease, crocheting around a chain, continuous rounds, crocheting in rows, colour change, front loop only, back loop only
MATERIALS
- Head, body, arms, legs, and outer ears: 8 ply (DK) cotton in grey - approx. 23g / 56m / 61yd
- Body and arms: 8 ply (DK) cotton in navy - approx. 7g / 17m / 19yd
- Inner ears, jacket, and hat: 8 ply (DK) cotton in white - approx. 5g / 12m / 13yd
- Nose: 8 ply (DK) cotton in black - approx. 2g / 5m / 5 yd
- Jacket and hat: 8 ply (DK) cotton in yellow - approx. 14g / 34m / 37 yd
- Black thread to embroider eyes
- 3mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing
