The Johanna sweater is completely assembly-free and is knit top-down in stockinette stitch with the wrong side facing out. Knit with Baby Alpaca from Miss Svensson, making the sweater super soft and comfortable. Begin by knitting the upper back, then pick up stitches on either side of the neck to knit the shoulders with short rows for a nice fit. The front and back are then joined and knit in the round for the entire body. To create the nice “seam” between the purl and knit sections, the work is bound off, and new stitches are picked up from the inside of the sweater. The sleeves are knit on a shorter circular needle. The neckline is knit with a slightly smaller circular needle, folded in, and bound off towards the inside of the collar. The sweater has a loose and straight fit and should have an ease of about 25 cm more than your chest measurement.
