The cardigan is worked forward and back in one piece, from the bottom and up.
At the armhole work is divided into fronts and back, which are finished separately.
The shoulder seams are sewn together using Kitchener sts.
Then sts are picked up at the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked top down. At the end sts are picked up along the fronts and the neckline, and the front bands are worked in rib.

Gug Church in Aalborg and its massive concrete facade is a great example of modern Danish church architecture. It was designed by architects Inger and Johannes Exner in 1971. The structure and colour of this baby cardigan are inspired by the concrete facade of Gug Church.
When the baby is put down for a nap in the pram outside, a Nordic tradition, it’s important to keep the baby warm. The structured pattern combined with the soft yarn qualities Anina and Alva make for an extra bulky effect.
