Jolene sweater
Brief Overview/Tips:
The sweater is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch with raglan increases. It is finished with a chart and an i-cord bind-off on the sleeves. On the body, it is split halfway through the chart, and the remaining part is knitted back and forth before binding off with an i-cord. Finally, fringes are attached using a crochet hook.
You can use leftover yarn for the chart—combine multiple strands if you have thinner mohair you would like to use.
Knitter’s Best Tip: There are many great videos on YouTube demonstrating gsr and other techniques.
You can also find a tutorial video showing how I attach the fringes on my Instagram account @lyserendesign under the highlight ‘Jolene sweater’.

Recommended Needles:
Sizes 1 and 3: Circular needle 7 mm, 40 cm for the collar and circular needle 5 mm, 40 and 80 cm for the rest of the sweater.
Sizes 2 and 4: Circular needle 7 mm, 40 and 80 cm.
All sizes: Double-pointed needles in your chosen needle size, or use the magic loop technique.
Consider going up a needle size when knitting the chart.
A medium-sized crochet hook is needed for attaching the fringes.
Important: Needle sizes are only recommendations.
If you have more stitches than stated per 10 cm, switch to a thicker needle.
If you have fewer stitches per 10 cm, switch to a thinner needle.
