Jolliet Hat
This set is knitted flat with some basic decreasing and then seamed – they allow the knitter to concentrate on the beautiful stranded colourwork. On both the hat and the armwarmers, the first and last stitch of every row form a one-stitch seam allowance. This is so that, when the sides are seamed, they do not encroach on the flower motif. It does not matter which colour these seam stitches are worked in as long as the colours are then worked as per the chart for the rest of the row. However, in most instances the MC would be the most natural option. These stitches are not shown on the chart.
