These jolly socks were inspired by the beautiful holiday decorations we use this season, especially as we put up the Christmas tree. The cuff is a little nod to ribbons on presents found under the tree, while the leg and foot are decorated with a fun garland and baubles pattern. I hope these socks get you in the holiday spirit and keep your feet cozy all December!

This is a top/cuff down sock pattern.

This pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes (S 56 stitches, M 64 stitches, L 72 stitches)

This pattern is both written and charted.

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 100g Fingering weight
Sample in Deconstructed Fade Sock by Shirley Brian Yarn
Colourway “Holly Jolly Pyjama Party”

Needles: 2..25 mm long cable for magic loop (or dpns if preferred)

Gauge: 9 sts = 1 inch in stockinette (this makes for a very snug fitting sock, especially with the cable. See note below.

Note: Cables tend to tighten your knitting. You may need to use needles one size up (so 2.5 mm) to account for this but you may not need to if your are a loose knitter or if your yarn is a heavier fingering. I highly suggest trying on your sock regularly to ensure it fits as you wish. After a repeat of the garland pattern is a good time to begin trying it on.

Notions: BOR marker, stitch marker, cable needle, needle for grafting, and scissors.

Nota Bene:
Other options for cuff and heel flap are in purple.
