Don’t you just love the idea of having your own court jester to follow you around and brighten your day? With a vividly coloured hat and curled slippers, a shower of bells and his very own miniature effigy on a stick, Alan Dart’s April fool is ready to cavort, amuse and entertain!

This is a project of many parts, but if you take your time and make it piece by piece, you should find it fun to work on. And the finished jester is sure to prompt smiles from all who see him. “If you don’t want to use metal bells you could substitute with colourful ready-made pom-poms,” suggests Alan. “They’ll look just as much fun but won’t be so noisy!”
