This is a long infinity scarf that’s knit lengthwise with diagonal shaping. It is reversible and drapes beautifully.
You’ll begin with a provisional cast-on & join invisibly by grafting ends together using Kitchener technique or using the 3-needle bind-off method.
Shaping is done on each side of every wrong side row. The edge stitch technique obscures the shaping stitches and gives the edges a lovely double chain stitch that looks the same on both the right and wrong side.
