About the pattern
The Jordgubbar Socks are knitted from the cuff down with a short berry stitch pattern around the leg. If you wish to extend the leg, that’s certainly possible. The sock features a reinforced heel and a gusset on the sole. The top of the sock has a ribbed pattern.
The berry stitch pattern on the leg of the sock is created using purl, knit, and slipped stitches. Even though the sock becomes slightly wider around the pattern, it is held up by the ribbing above and below the pattern.

Gauge
34 sts x 45 rnds = 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch after blocking
When the sample was knit, gauge was obtained on 2.5mm needles. I am a tight knitter, so you might need to go down to needle size 2.0-2.25 mm.

Yarn
I have knitted my sample pairs in two different yarns from Fru Fjellman. I recommend choosing either a lighter yarn or a solid colour to show off the pattern.
Fru Fjellman Merino Sock: 
75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, length 400m/100g
Fru Fjellman Bamboo Sock: 60% superwash merino, 25% bamboo, 15% nylon length 400m/100g
Other durable sock yarns also work well, for example, Opal solid 4ply 75% wool, 25% polyamide
Metreage:
240 (260) 280 (330) 360 (390) metres
Note that metreage depends on how long the sock is knitted.

Tapestry needle

Needles for working on a small circumference in size to obtain gauge, e.g. circular needles with a length of at least 80 cm, DPNs, 23 cm circulars or CrazyTrios/FlexiFlops.
