Josephine Beanie
I want to introduce this years first design the Josephine Beanie. Named after my momma who has been my biggest inspiration, my number 1 fan, and my crochet hero! I would not be doing what I do without her! She planted the seed of creativeness in me, and her words of encouragement waters it frequently! Thank you momma!
This design features a mix of stitches and is worked up flat and in rows. I had initially thought to have the buttons as a working feature but decided against this as to not have a gap between the buttons when worn.
Intermediate in skill level-using a variety of different stitches and techniques such as cables, read and follow instructions with multiple steps and repeats, all while knowing and understanding the fundamentals of crochet and garment construction.
Supplies needed are worsted weight yarn.
3 up to 1” in size buttons for each hat.
4.5mm and 5mm crochet hooks
yarn needle for sewing closed
faux fur pompom if wanted
scissors
Gauge in the pattern is in different portions with measurements added.
