2 m yarn in a contrasting color for provisional crochet cast-on.

Gauge
24 sts and 30 rows stockinette on needles 3 1⁄2 / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

Directions
Using provisional, crochet cast-on, two equal-sized stockinette stitch panels are worked in the round. Then the knot is worked in the front. The provisional cast-ons are removed in both sides, and both sides are worked, in the round, until the center back. Finally, the headband is sewed together using Kitchener stitches.
