This is another one of my kids’ drawings that was turned into a toy. I always write down what I do so others might be able to share in the joy of such cute creations.

I used green #4 medium worsted weight acrylic yarn and a 3.0 mm hook for the body. I also used pink and black 6ply embroidery thread and a 2.0 mm hook for the antenna, arms, and legs. I used a felting needle to attach small pieces of craft felt for the facial features.

Gauge is not important but make sure all of your yarn is the correct weight.

The bug measures about 15cm wide.
