This adorable unisex cardigan vest includes 3 sizes -
small (newborn / 18” finished chest),
medium (6-12 months / 21” finished chest) and
large (2-4 yr / 24” finished chest).

It is quick, easy and enjoyable to knit in garter stitch (no purling on this one!).

While samples are knit with Hayfield Journey yarn, in shades 555 (small), 553 (medium), and 552 (large), this adaptable pattern can be knit with any DK weight yarn.

Size is easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing needle size, and/or adding length to garment before armhole shaping.

Vest is knit in 3 pieces (back and 2 fronts) which are joined at the shoulders using a 3 needle bind off; then stitches are picked up for the button band, with a single buttonhole placed at the front center.

Reverse shaping instructions are clearly written out for right and left front pieces.
