Joy Bringers
The Joy Bringers are meant to feature wonderfully textured yarns on the leg & foot, knit inside-out so that the reverse-stockinette/“purl-side” faces out for maximum fluff-age!
For my example (the darker sock pictured) I used Full Moon Fibres’s DK Boucle in ‘Favourite Granny Square Blanket’ as the main colour, for alternatives consider Drops Garnstudio’s Alpaca Boucle, or Sirdar’s Snuggly Bunny (if you need a wool-free option). For all examples shown, we each had enough in one 100g skein of DK Boucle to make two pairs of socks.
For the contrast colour, I used one 50g ball of SandnesGarn Perfect shade 7281 Dark Petrol for one pair of socks. If you choose to use a yarn like Novita 7 Brothers that comes in a 100g ball you will have enough to do two pairs of socks.
For the other socks pictured - both used Full Moon Fibres’s DK Boucle in ‘Vanilla Dip’ as the main colour, the one with teal contrast used Novita 7 Brothers in shade 386 Forest, the one with light/multi-colour contrast used Full Moon Fibres’s Comet DK in shade Vanilla Dip to match their main colour.
Please note that if you choose to make extra-long legs on your socks - or if you are a tighter knitter and do not change your needle size accordingly - you may require more yarn than I suggest.
