Bulky (7 wpi; 12 ply; no 5: Bulky) raffia yarn such as Katia Raphia, 3 balls that is 150g or 378 yards, worked in 2 strands of yarn held together
Knitting needle size US 11 (8 mm) or to obtain gauge 4” x 4 “(10 x 10 cm) = 12 sts x 14 rows (in stockinette stitch)
Scrap yarn in 5-7 colors for the pom-poms
2/3” (2 cm) diameter snap
