Joy Dress
Pattern Description
The Joy Dress is so easy to make! With only a few simple stitches; single crochet, half double crochet and a varied puff stitch, you can easily “Netflix and Chill” while making it. Worked from the top down, the raglan increase adds 8 stitches per row. Once the sleeves are separated, the body is worked for a few rows before the skirt. The skirt is given a bit of shape by using the stitch pattern one hdc in the next 2 sts, 2 hdc in the next st. To give the dress some extra detail, there is a slight ruffle added to the bottom of the skirt and to each sleeve. Instead of buttons, two ties are added to the back of the dress which can be tied into a bow. Of course, if you would rather add buttons to the back of the dress, you are welcome to do that.
Fit
This dress is meant to fit with a positive ease of 0-5cm/0-2in. I made my dress hit above the knee of my daughter but you can easily make it longer, if you prefer. Make sure you measure the length of the dress from shoulder to hem.
