Joyce the Giraffe
Meet Joyce. She is an adorable plaid giraffe. This pattern contains many notes and pictures to help you out with the colorwork and assembly. If you’ve made amigurumi before, you could probably make this unique giraffe.
Finished size is about 11”-12” tall, depending on tension. You will need worsted weight yarn in yellow, brown, and white, and a small amount of black to embroider eyelashes. You will also need polyfil, 15 mm or 12 mm safety eyes, a sheet of craft felt and fabric glue (to make discs to help keep hoof shape), and something to help support the neck inside. This pattern uses pipe cleaners for neck support, but the pattern notes also suggest some alternative materials for both the neck support piece and discs for the hoofs.
This pattern is somewhat low-sew. There are only 4 small parts, the ears and the ossicones, and the head to sew on. The legs and arms are crocheted on to the body.
