Do you need a little ’joy’ to wrap around your shoulders?

This shawlette is just enough to ward off breezy night airs, or to keep you warm in cold air conditioned spaces! It can be pulled up the neck in the back to prevent drafts, and/or worn draped hanging low in the front to protect the chest and lungs. This joyful pattern works up very quickly and is a great stash buster! Pattern can be done with or without the neckline picot edge, and in almost any weight yarn and features a simple leaf pattern. Pattern repeats lengthen or shorten the shawlette, and a simple crochet shell graces the bottom edge. For those not comfortable with crochet, YouTube and KnitPicks has some great, easy tutorials on the 3 very basic stitches used in this pattern.

The child is wearing the “small” size in both the Classic Yarns Cashsoft DK lilac/pink and KnitPicks Comfy Sport silver sage and fits more like a shawl for her. The green is the Medium size.
