This is a pattern for yarn with a little stretch in it like acrylic. It did not work well when I tried it in cotton. I am working on a cotton bootie pattern so look for that one if you are making booties in cotton.

I am working on a neat and concise PDF. For now you can use the ‘Print Friendly PDF’ Button on the bottom which makes HTML web pages into PDF pages.

Updated 9-4-16 Added more sizes and made sure each size had an equivalent increase.

The good thing about this pattern is that it is very adaptable to make more sizes and to make your own touches to it and also be able to use various knitting stitch patterns. This is a perfect bootie for charity. There is no cutting of the thread or picking up stitches on the side. It is worked back and forth knitting 2 together each row for top of bootie shaping.

I knitted them on straight needles to whip them out fast but you can adapt it to magic loop or DPNs. I whip stitched the back and used mattress stitch for the soles for a quick sew at the end which looks pretty neat and tidy.

Included is a basic fold up garter stitch hat to match the booties.
